Kyleigh was so easy to direct, so adorable and sweet! we ran in the field, laughed and i think she showed me a dance move or 2... i love that you can see her innocence in each photo. exactly what i was looking for:)

these guys were hilarious to photograph! we made fishing poles out of sicks and twine and told them to catch me a whooper! Chance and Christopher had more personality than i was expecting! "i think i just saw a snapper wrapper!"

i think i want to do a monthly personal photo challenge

i think i should try this monthly photo challenge that everyone does. only i am going to make my own themes and base them off my favorite songs...then post them to my blog and Facebook. here are my first few weeks themes:

the studio is so cute

sneak peak at my studio. i have it set up for kids and babies right now. i will expand for adults in a couple months! i prefer taking portraits outside but for newborns and small kids its so much warmer and you can set up some really cute shoots indoors!

last nights sunstet

last night i was playing around on Facebook and i turned to look out my living room window. WOW the sky looked different than it has all winter long! the golden sun was filling my house! i immediately jumped out of my chair, grabbed my car keys and camera bag leaving my coat and shoes behind! i drove out to this open field area and started clicking away. i haven't quite mastered sunset photo settings, i always have trouble getting all the beautiful colors to show up on my camera. these turned out really pretty... i really didn't need to edit them i just wanted to give them a little pop of flavor.

we went to the oregon coast for a weekend get away and got some great pictures! so much fun and i finally got to use my new camera!!!!! these are some great before and after photos.

cute before and afters

i didn't take these photos, i just edited them. in the first picture i did a lot of retouching. i took out the big blue honey bucket and replaced it with trees, i took out the white chairs and i gave it a fun color edit.

 on the second picture i just gave it a soft look and made her eyes a little more bright. too cute right?

I've been messing around with actions...

i have been editing some of my photos with actions downloaded off the internet and I'm LOVING them! 

loving them so much in fact tonight I'm going to attempt to make a few of my own and post them on here for everyone to critique. please don't be shy, tell me exactly what you think of any part of my blog. if you like it let me know, if you hate it i still want to know:) the only way to grow is to be told the truth.

YAY new camera!

so happy! i just bought my new canon 7d camera!!!! was pretty spendy but it will be worth it!  look at her, isnt she gorgeous!?? hehe

the weather is really crappy right now and its killing me because i wanna take pictures so bad!

i will post them as soon as i do tho:)
